Weekly Inclusive Multi Sport Club at Peace Link Clones – Every Thursday


An inclusive multi-sport club for children with a disability will take place at the Peace Link Clones every Thursday.  The weekly inclusive club is for children with a disability from age 5 -15 years of age and their siblings. The children will get an opportunity to try different fun group activities each week.

The club will take place every Thursday from 6pm6.45pm, with cost €4 for first child and €3 for any siblings attending. For more information please contact the Peace Link on 047-52638.

Disability Awareness in Sport Workshop – Tuesday 20th March

This workshop (contact time: 2 hours) is designed to build awareness around people with disabilities participating in sport and physical activity. It is an interactive workshop that covers perceptions, communication and etiquette, understanding disability and inclusion and readiness along with local initiatives for people with disabilities. It will also be a pathway for those who wish to participate in further learning opportunities. These include Disability Inclusion Training, Inclusive Fitness Training, Inclusive Sports Coaching, and other courses offered through the National Training and Education Framework.

On completion, all participants will receive a Sport Ireland and CARA Centre endorsed certificate  of attendance.

The next  course in Monaghan is taking place Tuesday March 20th ,Castleblayney Enterprise Centre, Castleblayney from 7pm-9pm

Hat Trick Football

Hat Trick Football,coming to Carrickmacross and Cootehill!!

 We are delighted to announce details of Hat-Trick football programmes commencing in Carrickmacross on Tuesday 27th February and Cootehill Wednesday 28th February.

This programme is a joint initiative with the Sports Partnership, Hat-Trick Football Academy and the local clubs, Carrick Rovers and Cootehill Harps, for children with a disability aged 5-15 years.

 Hat-Trick football is a non competitive fun inclusive programme, featuring lots of games that will help develop childrens coordination and social skills

The programme is running for 6 weeks at each location

Carrickmacross –  Tuesday 27th February from 7pm-8pm at the Phoenix Centre, Carrickmacross. (Astro pitch)

Cootehill – Wednesday 28th February from 5pm-6pm at Cootehill Harps Afc, Clara Lane, Cootehill
